This article is a posting about 'Ttareungi', a public bicycle available in Seoul. We talk about how to use Ttareungi, how to use Ttareungyi, types of bicycles, and a review of using Ttareungyi.

Hello, this is the OIA (Office of International Affairs) at Silla University!

This time, I'd like to tell you about Ttareungyi, the Seoul Metropolitan Government's public bicycle rental service. Although there are no public bikes in Busan, I brought some information to introduce Seoul, Korea's capital. I wrote a review of it at the end, so please watch it all the way through!

How to Use the Ttareungyi App

It is a free application provided by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

1.     Go to the App Store or Play Store and search for "Ttareungyi."

2.     To download it, click on Seoul Bicycle Ttareungyi, as shown in the image below.

3.     Once the download is complete, log in!

4.     If you log in and see this screen, you've succeeded!

5.     Next, locate a nearby bike. You can purchase your pass by clicking on the pink circle.

6.     As you click on "Choose a ticket", the default rental time of one hour will appear as an option.

7.     If you click Next, a payment window will appear, and you will be able to purchase the Ttareungyi pass!

8.     You are now ready to ride the bike if you recognize the QR code and use the pass!

Ttareungyi App TIP!

There is also a function that allows you to enter the other person's phone number and give it as a gift. I 'm sure it will be a very touching gift for a friend who enjoys using it.

Review of Using Ttareungi

Nice to meet you. My name is Park Ji Eun and I am majoring in physical education at Silla University in Busan. From now on, I will present a review of using Ttareungyi while staying at my sister's house in Seoul in early February 2022. Since this bike is located almost everywhere in Seoul, I think it will be very convenient for people living in Seoul. There are bike paths everywhere, so safety is guaranteed! I ran along Jungnangcheon Stream in Jungnang-gu, Seoul with my sister. There are basketball courts and running tracks everywhere, so I remember seeing crowds who enjoyed both. I enjoyed the night view slowly rather than running fast and enjoying the speed for my sister, who is not good at riding a bike! I bought a 1,000 won hour ticket and rode my bicycle from Jungnang-gu to Dongdaemun-gu. Why not use Ttareungyi for exercise and relaxation rather than transportation?
